lepas tu, rendam slow2 kaki. aku rase adelah dlm 5 menet aku gelak2 sbb ikan2 tu gigit tapak kaki aku. geli siot. utk org2 penggeli, it’s better if korg jgn tgk ikan2 tu buat kerje. kalo lg korg belek, lg la nk terangkat2 kaki. tp bile dh lama sket, you’ll enjoy it actually, sampaikan i wished the salesperson tu x berenti2 sembang dgn anak2 sedare aku, so that we can buy some time hehe.

according to kesma, she felt her body a bit “lighter” lps treatment. as for me… errmm… maybe aku terlalu berat utk rase “lighter” kot. kikiki. i dunno. anyhow, sesape yg rase berani nk menggelikan, boleh singgah kat Giant Kinrara till end of this month and try it out. in january, aku telah berpergian to Bangkok, mengekori my colleague and her mother. ahaha. aku pedulik hape. i want the experience, so i just hop on. lagipon, she used to stay in bangkok for quite some time, jadiknye, she’ll be able to give me insights of bangkok from her own experience, and not off the shelves (from readings of course! ). bagos jugak ler.. xde ler kitorg ternganga je bile sampai sane. dgn aku yg sememangnye la xde initiative nak belajar bahse thai . i tend to be forgetful, so wat’s the use. tips nye adelah, pegi je lah kat tmpt yg byk tourist hehe. walaupon the english xdelah sgt bagos, at least ko paham la jugak bijik butir nye idok gitu…

it’s been almost 5 months since the trip, baru aku gatal nak write down, so ingatan aku maybe not that sharp, dan cara bercerite mungkin tidak se-enthusiastic. but bear with it je lah. sebolehnye, i’d like to present my experience for others as a guide.

first day sampai kat airport diorg (yg susah aku nak ingat 1st time - it’s suvarnabhumi airport), kami (especially me!) adelah sgt lapar sbb dah tghari, dan airasia x kasik mknan free so aku xnak bazirkan duit shopping spree aku utk mkn atas kapalterbang merah itu.

i bought biscuits, so kunyah tu je la dlu mase sampai. lepas dgn berjayenye kuar dr airport itu, aku sgtlah teruja melihat teksi2 pelbagai kaler menunggu mangse2nye. sbb teruja itulah aku x sempat amek gambar teksi2 tu. sedar2, member aku dh panggil one cab, and guess what – the color is PINK! ngeeee… oh, and tajok teksi di sini adelah vios lama version tidak luxury langsong. heheh.

memandangkan our trip adelah bertemakan shopping sampai mati, my fren suggested we stay in a hostel instead since buang mase saje nak ddk kat pricey places, memandangkan duit tersebut boleh disalurkan ke shopping2 kompleks yg ade. good thinking, huh? so she booked a hi-hostel in sukhumvit road. we stayed there 4 days, 3 night, and we only pay rm88 per person. best ke tak? . tapi, it’s a 8-person room la. we dont mind since we travel in daylight, dan balek nak dkt mlm setelah kaki rase nak patah.

member aku itu dan maknye sunggoh lah sudah plan nak mkn kat tmpt mcm2, so i just told them, this time around, i’ll be following them, walaupon ke tempat non-halal sbb x berani nk pegi mencarik tmpt halal suke2. and i did. setelah mengemas bagasi2, we went out for lunch dkt a place aku x ingat bcos i was damn thirsty and hungry. it’s a small restaurant, di mane member aku kate ade nasik goreng udang yg sgt best. they were trying to persuade me to take the fried rice la since diorg ckp cume seafood, xde daging. hehe. tabley… tabley.. so i end up drinking coke saje, dan mkn jagung strips yg member aku beli. tgh diorg mkn dgn bestnye, i saw this one guy kat ujung sane memakan some sort of noodles in soup, pastu tgh best mencedok something yg nampak crispy dan best di dalam balang. i asked my fren, and she just say “nothing  that you can eat”. kikiki. crispy pork skin maybe eh lisa? xkanlah belalang goreng kot xD.

soon after, kitorg pegi at this one famous bag shop. lisa has started showing kegilaannye. she’s a chronic shopaholic about to be unleashed. hehehe. yg amat aku kagumi is, eventhough this naraya stuff adelah famous, tp the price adelah sgt tidak mahal. imagine a coin purse, branded, batik-style. imagine having this coin purse with brands; satu oleh butik terkenal di mesia, dan satu di butik terkenal di bangkok. yg manekah anda rasekan paling mahal? i would expect the mesian one wud be priced around 10++ maybe? tp this naraya punye is 40 baht – which is 4 hengget! heheh. checkout their website: http://naraya.com.

satu tmpt shpg yg best utk dipergikan adelah siam paragon. i specifically gone bonkers when i reached this place. mase masok, kene lalu tmpt scan mcm kat airport. isy. is it a norm for people to bring bombs to public places ke? anyway, the supermarket here in siam paragon is superb. sgt besar dan kalerful penoh dgn barang2. at this point of time, aku mmg imagine if only aku ni the daughter of those rich arabians ataupon sultan brunei ke, i would shop only there for my groceries. bleh?

   

rows and rows of products, from local made to imported, sume ade. all sorts of varieties dan aku adelah sgt gile dan x reti gile nak explain cemane. i bought one selipar jepon, which costs 10 hengget, and wonder why it is priced 100 baht. agak pricey utk selipar jepon. tp ia adelah the best selipar jepon i found, lembut dan best, dan amazingly aku x tergelincir di pasar lagi bile memakainye – which my auntie feared of. tiap kali aku balek kedah, mesti makmbone bising kalo time ujan aku pakai selipar tu. i’m thinking of coming again to buy 5 pasang lagi . oh. the name is Puppa.

semase di mesia (ewah), in preparation to go bangkok, aku telah menggeledah serata internet, searching for halal places in bangkok. check out this website: http://www.zabihah.com . sangat bagos ini source. but remember to search for the address instead of buta2 salin/print the address of the food place, or else you’ll end up like me – baek punya amek alamat, blakang, bila aku kasik address to kat org taxi, sorg pon tak paham, bley? we (me and my new japan fren) wanted to search for mak yah restaurant. famous halal place, tp malangnye x jumpe. so we end up mkn dlm Zen dkt Central World. middle-east style..

bangkok arranges their lrt/mrt lanes strategically. aku rase sume tmpt tumpuan pelancong sekat dgn rail. you can hop off this station, pegi shopping, then hop on the next train to go shopping/visit some other places. the famous temples like wat phra keao lah, wat pho lah, pelbagai wat lah yg ade – all accessible via trains. just interchange some, naek bot along the chao phraya river, and voila.. you’re there .

weekends are best spent in the chatuchak market/weekend market. so guys, if you want to plan for bangkok, better pegi with the weekends in between, because one day will never be enuff utk that market! best of all, try google around for chatuchak market maps. it’ll at least give you a rough idea dekat area mane nak dituju. the market is divided by sections. ade section jual bunge2an la, baju2an, barang2an hiasan rumah, even the exotic stuff. walaupon begitu, some dont adhere to the rules dan main belasah je meniaga.

for those who travel with frens, adelah bagos kirenye kalo korg berjanji utk berjumpe di sesuatu tmpt, before even entering the market. sbb kalo once lost, aku rase baek korg balek gi jumpe kat hotel je in the end. one common place to meet up is the clock tower. it’s in the center of the market dan ade tmpt2 ddk byk kat situ, yg penuh dgn pengunjung2 yg hilang companion mereke, kikiki. oh, there’s one small halal stall kat tepi clock tower tu, yg akan selalu penoh. jadiknye, pepandai la berebut2. courtesy will never work here okay?

ahaa… once kalo dah jumpe brg yg berkenan di hati utk dibeli di market ini, baek beli je. this is totally a reminder to myself next time. kalo lah tetibe ko terpikir yg mungkin ade lg chantek dan murah di tmpt lain, i wud say, think again. if you leave that shop dan carik lain, chances are, you cannot remember kat mane that shop is, ataupon harge die dah naek balek, dan ko kene berbuih mulut nego balek, bcos the shopkeeper simply cannot remember that you just came by tadi. hah! oh. dan utk mereke yg nak crk sutera thai nak buat baju, ade byk version of this sutera – you have hands – go feel the fabric. jgn percaye makcik2 kedai tu yg kate kain tu jenis sutera thai yg baru. waaa…..

it’s monday people… . last weekend was filled. it’s so rare that my weekends are filled like this. last friday nite, we were supposed to have a volleyball session dgn bdk2 KC, but it turned out playing pool instead, dan lepak kat D’Ariff cafe dkt area terminal.

i thot d’ariff ni wud nice, sbb tmpt mcm ok je. tp tak.. maybe only on that nite saje, tp dh kalo one-time saje pon service ko dh mcm gampang, waddaya expect for the rest la kan. number one, it’s the language. dh x paham malay, english pon x jugak? do u expect us to learn ur language utk mendapatkan service yg best? the ambience and food tu mmg dh okay, tp slack la on the service part. org x ramai dlm cafe tu, which we dont understand kenape makanannye dpt lambat. if ur going to cook slow, mcm kat umah, i think u better buat cafe kat umah, utk femili ko mkn je la kot kan.. 

i ordered pancake ngan kaya butter. and, in return, aku dpt pancake kosong! i thot kaya butter ade kat dlm ke ape. so aku x heran lah. tp member aku dh ckp dh, nampak mcm kosong je tu. and mmg btol la kan. aku panggil balek waiter tu. aku ckp aku order kaya butter. die kate kaya butter dah habes. mau x terbeliak mate aku. so aku tertinggikan lah suare ckp die xleh lah kasik aku mcm ni. at least kasitau lah kalo dh habeh. so die muke mcm marah2, apehal la kan?? aku kate at least give me something lah. aku soh die letak honey dh die bangang sgt x reti nk suggest ape kan. die punyelah heret pancake tu merata kaunter, sampai sejuk rasenye tu. pastu he came back dgn pancake honey. seb baek lah sedap kan tp manis nak mampos lah. and then… untok mensaketkan lg hati waiter itu, aku mintak tambah aiskrim satu scoop. aku mintak vanilla, tp die ckp xde xde. xde vanilla. dgn nade marah. biadap. so aku tanye org yg dkt kaunter aiskrim tu. die ckp ade. so aku pandang waiter biadap tu dgn muke “boleh blah x?”. God! aku akan pegi lg cafe tu to make ur life even more miserable. just wait and see… hohoho… hehehe. oh, and selepas my supper yg full of revenge, saye telah jalan2 teman hasrul runner yg berjaya menghantar bodypart kat puchong. masyukkk… wakaka.

ahaa… berbalek kepade topik weekend. sabtu, selepas membasoh baju etc, i went to ampang to have my eyebrows done! hehehe. first time. gumbira gumbira. walaupon ade a bit ketidakseimbangan, tp saye adelah puas ati sbb auntie tu x membotakkan ia. hehe. oh. pastu i went to Aspen Spa in dataran palma near that ampang point. i did reviews on their facials. and i had one, nice, 2 1/2 hour-long facial. bliss! after 2 years, the lady still remember me, and my sponge is still kept aside, and the best part is, i’m still entitled for the member discount! hehe. yay! lepas lepak2 facial, bergegas plak balek umah nak siap2 to klang. ade tt kat situ. saye malu jugak lah bile berkonvoi sbb kete saye sgt stendet . dan yg paling best adelah bile lalu kat jusco klang. the place is huge! i MUST go there some day! gembirenye….. . oh. sori sbb aku x hengat nama mamak kat klang tu. tp mknan die best. nnt bile dh ingat aku kasitau. we came back around dkt pkl 1am, and the next day nye aku kene bangon pkl 6 pagi, for an OKU event in taman tasik titiwangse.

and so.. it’s sunday… woke up half-hour late – pkl 6.30am. rushed mandi2 then sped to shell wangse maju to pick up member, before proceeding to tmn tasik for the OKU event. it’s the annual OKU family day. ade lots of fun and games and free lunch . we didnt volunteer much, cuma tolong2 kat bhg mknan. the sad part is, the organizer x kasitau kat mane the nearest toilets, and bile ade this one uncle terngange nk pegi toilet, aku ikot sama nganga. ehehe. and so, we traveled thru the grounds, and trus ke kompleks yg agak jauh, and bwk die pegi toilet. he’s blind by the way. luckily die x membebel sbb jauh . ha. yg pegi tu ade bdk2 puteri umno jugak. so kitorg join as volunteers bg pihak puteri. fuh, aweks2 puteri mmg cun2 ho blake. anak2 lot. dan boifren2 mereke adelah sgt setanding dan tinggi dan badan boleh pelok dan smart dan yg penting, muke x bersepah. hehehe.

 my fren and i left the event around 11am cemtu, sbb i need to attend a wedding plak kat sg besi dgn my brother and kuncu2 nye. the first wedding yg aku pegi dgn jeans. agak malu lah tp seb baek ramai lelaki pakai jeans (d’uh…) so aku rase slamat sket hohoho. abes wedding, sampai umah pkl 3, pastu tdo sampai pkl 6. bgn, masak nasik goreng, then mkn dpn tb dgn saket kepalenye. pastu encik runner werld dtg umah nak belek2 bumper plak. busy btol.

and so…. hari ini adelah hari isnin dan saye terlupe menghantar status report kepade mgr saye. . blogging is so much better than that. wahaha. chiow!

i hate to remember the dates, but last couple of weeks lah kirenye, i went to melake. it’s a historical city, and full of stuff to see – at day; sbb bile mlm je, the very creepy, especially jalan2 kampong tu. phew!

i stayed at Queenspark hotel, jln melake raye. hotel baru naek, resides among the shoplots. the promotion rate at that time was rm88 nett per room. check out their website at http://www.queensparkhotel.com.my/index.html.  disebabkan malas naek tangge, so took the room kat ground level. too bad cos xde tingkap. so cannot see the view. tp memandangkan cume dtg utk tdo je, x kesah lah. overall, it’s okay lah, sbb baru. loved the bathroom, sbb still new and good. hope they maintain the hotel well for years to come.

melake in the morning is totally awesome. tambah plak mlm sebelom tu ujan renyai2. bliss!

the colours of malaysia

 last week kesma and de geng introduced aku to a Korean BBQ restaurant, Seoul Bulgogi kat Plaza Pantai. at around rm30++ buffet price, it was a very horrific adventure. the food was nice. loved the sauce, and the varieties of food. tp the method of cooking tu yg aku x brape gemar. u have 2 choices, steamboat/bakar. ade 2 jenis soup – biase dan tomyam. since steamboat tu mcm dah bosan kan, so i opt for bakar. di sini lah pengalaman saye yg paleng mengerikan. look at the equipment of horror:

it is not a nice experience bile minyak meletup2 in front of ur face, especially kpd org2 yg takot menggoreng ayam dan kawan2 seangkatan dgnnye. tp dgn bersetujunye, this is the tastiest way to cook . so, wat to complain about right? hehe. among makanan2 yg aku smpt amek gambar sbb malu nak amek gambar byk:

our preparation for jerry’s wedding the other day. beauty does not come cheap, and it does come in pain… hahaha.

we were doing threading, and i was even thinking of doing facials, sbb muke aku dh mule menggerutu and i can see the wrinkles oredi! huwargghhh!! this is not good. i’ve been happy, i laughed a lot, i do house chores that do not require frowning. ape lagi…. nak kene telan imedeen and sume2 tu ke… adeh adehhh….

dlu2 mase kat ampang, i went to this great salon utk my monthly facials. bapak mahal. tiap2 bulan nak kene kuar 180 for a facial. not much kalo korg kaye, tp mase tu i was earning way low from now. tapi aku just cannot not live like that. isy. okay, so coming back to the setori… aku enrol jadik member die, that’s how the price got slashed to 180 la. and aku beli barang2 die. oh. the name is: phytobiodermie. tapi…. die nye service manyak best. standard la tu kan.. specialty diorg is in colors. so diorg analyze kulit ko, and tgk kaler ape yg associated to the skin. then die pantolkan kaler tu to ur heart area, pastu diorg buat facial ko. and it is oh so nice… tp ko xleh la bukak mate nak tgk sinaran cahaye tu. nnt buta… i think. oh, and the best part is… diorg do sucking up of ur lymph/samthing… that shapes ur face… so my face was very pretty in complexion pade suatu mase dahulu. now, since aku xde mase nak ngadap mende2 tu sume, bcos i was too fully occupied with keeping up with ppl and keeping up with my damn emotions, i just leave behind all those. argghh. nak kene start balek. oh jauhnye ampang tuh….

tp aku sgt sayang ampang. i can get everything there. tmpt buat threading kat sebelah ampang point je, nak klcc oh sunggoh dekat, nak gi reload touch n go dkt tol pon dkt, nasik lemak berlauk dkt, bubur berlauk pon belakang umah je. haih haih. jem? stendet la tuh… skang nih nak ngadap jem pon malas. sampaikan mrr2 tu pon jarang gile aku jejak.

dlu2, mase ddk ampang, gile sronok la nak jalan2 area putrajaya. skang nih, tgk putrajaya pon aku x lalu. haih haih. dlu2, jalan2 kat luar time mlm2 is very breezy dan very tenang, walaupon byk kete. tp skang.. isy. mlm2 tetibe ade harum2an. isy.

oh. tetibe aku nak patah balek ke hari aku nak bertolak naek ketapi ke alor setar. my fren antar aku la kan, dan time tu tgh carik la tmpt nak berbuke. sume nye gile penoh, except strudels. i love strudels. sbb die ade roasted ciken yg mempunyai mashed potatoes yg sgt setap! dah sampai tu just nice la nak order dan dpt order. tp ade makcik2 chinese manetah, tgh dok tanye dlm menu tu ade letak ape ke ape. nak tau ingredients dlm tu. the hell la wei org nak berbuke… aku tgk budak yg amek order tu, aku senyum, and die pon senyum, then melirik balek ke makcik2 tu. pepaham laa… so lepas order, seb baek aku bwk beskut. so kitorg had the beskut dgn sedehnye dan air, sbb ayam tu x siap lg.

tp aku sebenarnye sgt kecewe dgn strudels kat kl sentral. xtau la sbb ape, tp ayam tu frozen in the centre. mashed potatoes die yg sepatotnye lg sedap, jdk mcm biase nye saje. kecewe kecewe. gravy pon x byk.. 1st time i had was in klcc. mase tu the servings were very generous. tp lately aku x check. kat OU pon dah tutop. x maintain standards la aku rase. dlu slalu pegi kat curve nye strudels sorg2 sbb member2 aku x ramai yg suke. tp rasenye kat situ pon dh tutop. haih. they should re-live this place and adding in QC/a more meticulous store manager. sayang beb…

Ades.. baru nak setat trus kensel nampak big boss masok. Terbatal excitement aku chischis! Dari kejauhan die menyapa:

Aku dengan raised eyebrow nye champor sengeh2 bangangnye penoh harapan.. jangan laa ko nak intebiu ape aku buat hari ahad nan ayu ni di opis. Apo laie.. tender laa.. Dtg opis lmbt kerana membawa kerete dgn selow motion yg boleh supaye x dimaki2 di jalanraye seperti sediakala. Tp malang tidak berbunyik.. aku gerenti sure kene maki jugak td sbb memangkah pakcik toyota zaman bile tah dgn bestnye. Bawak lg mcm kura2. Pastu brek2. Jangan harap laa i can sabar one.. Oh kenot one..

The place is cool, dude.. Siap ade Gold Class lagi.. THX certified.. and paleng best – the seats. U know that kekadang tu kite bengang gak la dengan “fashionably late” ppl ni kan.. bukan ape, pelbagai aksi nak kene tgk bile diorg lalu depan muke kite going to their seats.. hoping that we’re lucky enuff kalo x kene pijak. Kat GSC ni, seats xde lah sempit ngat tp xde lah korang boleh main lari2 plak kan.. Just nice untuk menyelamatkan kaki anda.. Tapi tu laa.. yg x best pulak.. disadvantage kat aku la.. takleh nak enjoy cite sgt mcm TGV cos bile silang kaki, seat depan kenot hold my kaki. Diskriminasi towards org kaki panjang je ke?? Hmph! Lagi satu.. the vastness of the cinema menjadikkan the screen jadik.. i wudn’t say kecik laa tapi.. not big enuff la. Takde la rase mcm ko boleh masok belakon skali gitu.. Crite yang ditonton: Mr and Mrs Semit . Officially, ni kali ketige aku tgk cite ni: 2 cinema, 1 VCD. And still de movie didn’t fail to make me.. :”).

Movie habeh lebeh kurang 2 lebeh in de morning. Carik kete je dah stengah jam. Seb baek Shaz and member die teman. I parked belah OU lama yang trus naek tangge tembos TGV.. So from GSC, ko nak kene lalu jln tahapetah pastu baru jumpe carpark tu. Dgn belagaknye aku “OK lah. I can take it from here..”. Kalo x pasal diorg insist, mmg ade la mangse2 kene tepon pagi2 bute tuh.

On the way home, mak aih.. punye la ramai mat2 rempit on de road.. kalo ramai kete xpe, no prob.. (belagak lg nih) tp kalo byk motor ni.. lain.. mmg terase cam nak swipe je diorg kasik dpt point habes baaaekk nye.. Rase gelabah sket pon ade la jugak. Kalo korang live long enuff to be my frens towards the end, korang kenal lah aku ni cemane. Aku rase Along dah masak gile dah . Pasal malu je mcm2 actions yang lagi memalukan aku bleh buat. Sometimes (err.. ekceli most of de times..) those actions will susahkan aku in the end macam aku kene ikot jalan lagi jauh sbb malu.

Tp ade la satu kes malu telah berlaku di Shah Alam early last week. Aku ngan Along p Shah Alam umah makcik aku. Kuar from the Kelab Golf, masok kanan.. straight.. nampak la traffic light.. supposedly kene masok kiri la kan sbb mase datang kitorg from that area. Dengan kompidennye aku n Along “Ha tu kiri”. Aku pon ok and dgn baek mesre nye kasik signal masok kiri. Aleh2 rupenye tu jln mati yg mati takde le jauh ngat from the main road di mane kalo kitorg tgk straight ahead before corner mmg sure x masok nye lah. Korg bayangkan lah betape malunye kitorg.. Dekat depan muke ade satu kete ape tah Wira kot aku pon x ingat sbb malu sangat tgh benti sbb traffic lite merah.. and kete tu penoh ngan kaum lelaki.. yg aku rase mesti tgh sengeh2 kat kitorg. Bayangkan lah.. Kalo nak ikotkan aku lah kan, aku sure benti je and buat as if nak rilek konon2 long journey (blah lah edi!). Tapi sbb ade Along kan, aku kontiniu dgn muke siotnye mereverse lalu blah sambil mengontrol jelite. Along boleh lah nak tutop2 muke! Aku?? Mau langgar trefik lite plak kang satu hal malu lagi kang! Appahal laaaa jalan Shah Alam cemtu haa…?? Tak mesre langsong!
